We are proud to announce the presentation of our new granite based machine platform

The platform is designed for high precision and high dynamic applications, with a center open view of 280 x 280mm, is equipped with direct drives actuator, iron less, absolute optical encoders and high performance drivers to cope with dynamic and precision issues. The symmetrical design help to minimize thermal effect drifts.

With this new acquisition we will be able to meet the new needs of our customers in terms of accuracy and timing of deliveries with an even more flexible response

The L-uPPT project is committed to develop and assess the functionality of a novel PPT technology based on liquid propellant, expected to enable significant improvements over traditional solid Teflon-based PPTs in terms of propellant utilization and impulse bit predictability through a tight control of the mass of propellant injected. In order to assess L-µPPT functionality performance, a new thrust stand is necessary for measurement of impulse, because a number of microthrusters are repetitively operated in pulses and pulsed thrust is generated. The specific know-how of Mecartex on high precision mechatronics solutions, has been profitably used during the project to develop a dedicated thrust balance to carry out the measurement of the thrust in the vacuum chamber.
